About My Offerings
Each offering integrates the historical and philosophical teachings of yoga combined with John Friend’s Universal Principles of Alignment (UPAs), a foundation of Anusara Yoga. I believe that by incorporating these principles into my teachings, individuals of all body types and yoga experience levels can find balance and ease in their unique expressions of each asana. Each class encourages students to explore connection between body and mind and incorporates breathwork and meditation, fostering comprehensive tools to develop your own sadhana (your living practice).
About Kaylee
I discovered my passion for yoga when I returned to Vancouver Island in 2019. At that time, I was pursuing my studies to become a psychiatric nurse, immersing myself in the intricacies of the biological system and learning how to support others. It was during this journey that I began to appreciate another profound method of cultivating balance in my life: yoga. I became captivated by the transformative power of yogic teachings and their ability to foster healing and well-being.
With devotion, I committed myself to regular practice, guided by one of my fondest yoga teachers (among many other things)—my wonderful sister-in-law.
As I progressed as a student, I encountered moments where I felt I had hit a wall. Recognizing this as an opportunity for growth, I decided to further my education in yoga. In January 2023, I completed a 200 hour Vinyasa and Hatha teacher training program, followed by a YIN teacher training in June 2023 at Coastal Bliss Yoga Studio in Tofino. This experience was nothing short of life-changing! Through my teacher training a desire ignited within me to share these invaluable teachings with others.
Since then, I’ve embraced the role of both student and teacher and have been sharing my love for yoga.
